“As a technology enthusiast and a believer in innovation, I believe that drones are the way to go. Drones represent both the present and the future. We are on the path to becoming the first-ever drone unicorn startup in India, having received significant validation from venture capital firms and investment communities. Our aim is to sell 25,000 drones in the next 18 months and to export 10,000 drones to approximately 100 countries within the next 15 months. Following my experience at Davos 2023, it became clear that Garuda Aerospace has the potential to scale globally by manufacturing more Make in India drones. This initiative will help India become the drone hub of the world by 2030.”
Agnishwar Jayaprakash is a Harvard Business School alumnus, an international swimmer, and a young man with a bright future ahead of him. Agnishwar was born in Chennai to a first-generation entrepreneur. After completing his studies and setting several international swimming records, he focused on building firms that would help the nation in various fields.
Mr Agnishwar J, was invited to offer his thoughts on the Union Budget 2022 on NewsX, which has surely set the stage for India’s drone sector to thrive. The entire Garuda team is grateful to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman mam and Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for their visionary leadership and presence of mind in encouraging the Drone Industry, as a result of which multiple start-ups have grown astronomically over the last couple of years.
Following the liberalization of drone rules in 2021, the Union Government has given a significant boost to the drone industry by introducing “Drone Shakti,” through which the government will assist start-ups in carrying out various drone-based applications such as drone delivery of medicines, pesticide spraying, crop monitoring, mapping, project monitoring and surveillance. Drone-based operations in the Agri Ecosystem have the potential to boost Indian agriculture GDP by 1.5 per cent. Garuda Aerospace is now engaging with ICAR, NABARD, Department of Agriculture, KVKs, State Agriculture Universities, and various FPO, FPCs across India to meet the massive demand for Agri Drones both domestically and from foreign customers.

Rithika Agnishwar is the Co-Founder & CIO of Garuda Aerospace. With a strong background in organizations specializing in D2C, infrastructure, government and public service sectors, her experience and expertise have been instrumental in the success of Garuda Aerospace. She was the Director at PC Realty, India as well.
She completed her Bachelor of Business Administration from Christ University, Bangalore. She has always been an inspiring leader, a strong advocate for women entrepreneurs and a renowned advocate for Sustainable Development Goal 5 on gender equality. She is also an Indian icon and inspiration for girls and young women in STEM and advancing young women in Technology. Her contributions to Garuda Aerospace have been numerous, including her exceptional internal communication, coordination and cooperation skills. She has been a driving force behind several significant partnerships that have elevated Garuda’s brand value and impact factor domestically and globally.
Additionally, she is Garuda Aerospace’s first woman drone pilot, and she inspires all women. She is also one of the very few women drone pilots across India with a DGCA license. Her messaging will help inspire more young women drone pilots across India and the sector.
